Some people call me “Big Mike.” But I still see myself as that tall, skinny kid growing up. My name is Mike Luttrell and this is my journey.
All through high school I was always that tall, skinny kid. My whole life I struggled to put weight on. I started working out at 15 but never really made any progress. I used to ask the big guys at the gym all these questions. I studied everything they did. I remember those who didn’t even give me the time of day. Yet there were those who took the time to help me. I looked up to them. I read a lot of magazines like Muscle and Fitness and Flex.
Fast forward 25 years later. I still love this great sport and I’ve come a long way. Over the last 10 years I’ve taken it a lot more seriously. I’ve been going to Nutrition Direct in Joliet for over 9 years now. Without Nutrition Directs help and knowledge on a wide variety of products, I wouldn’t be the bodybuilder I am today. The people there really make me feel as if they care about my progress, educating me on new supplements and my overall well being.
My wife and I own Chaoz Sports Lounge in Crest Hill. Georgette “Gigi” Luttrell is my incredible wife. She had a life long dream of opening a bar and Chaoz is what we built. Chaoz is a great restaurant, dance club and sports bar. We are known for having a great atmosphere and vibe. The name Chaoz comes from the chaotic mix of who we are.
